As a clinician, he is known for his integrative approach — combining traditional chiropractic adjustments with soft-tissue therapy, physiotherapy modalities, functional movement coaching, and applied functional medicine principles. He has served as clinic doctor for fun runs and rugby teams, supervised rehabilitation programs, and provided patient-centered care across California.
As an educator, Richard has taught high school STEM and biology in Michigan and Texas, served as Anatomy & Physiology instructor at an Ayurvedic Medical College, and was Chief Instructor at the Manual Medicine School of Nevada County. He was recognized as a Sallie Mae District Teacher of the Year Finalist for excellence in science education.
In recent years, Richard has emerged as a Health Innovation and EdTech thought leader, with deep hands-on experience in virtual reality learning environments (Meta Quest/Oculus, 70+ apps since 2019), AI-assisted curriculum design, and mastery-based education models. He founded FLOW School / Future Leaders of the World, a pioneering 2-hour school concept emphasizing efficiency, learner autonomy, and real-world application.
Beyond treatment and teaching, Richard brings warmth and creativity to every setting — organizing community wellness events, leading acoustic music jams, designing movement experiences for resort guests, and championing his Healthy Arts Project: celebrating health through art, murals, dance, and whole-foods sharing.
He is based between Walnut Creek, California and Pāhoa, Hawaiʻi, and is open to clinical, consulting, and educational leadership roles in both locations and beyond.
